We spent a lot of time on the beach and, on one occasion whilst walking along the Promenade, Julia went missing. Panic Stations! We found her with a very bemused lady who had been walking along when a little hand was placed in hers. I don't know who was more shocked, the lady or Julia.
Julia gave us our next shock too. After the children had gone to bed, we were summoned by a shout from Andrew and, rushing upstairs, we found a handkerchief draped over the grille of an electric fire, just about to burst into flames.
On our way home we got as far as Sherborne when the crankshaft in the motorbike broke, so Paul had to come out in his little Morris Minor and tow us back. We had a few more days' holiday whilst it was repaired!
